Don't ask me why but this spring I developed some sort of house plant fetish. Anywho, in my continuing accumulation of houseplants I bought an aloe plant. I've wanted one for awhile now and while my dad and I were shopping at Target Friday I found some on sale for $2.15. And these are good size plants not jut babies. Since Target unlike Wal-Mart doesn't make it their mission to kill all the plants they sell I bought one. My only concern is that my apartment's version of bright light won't cut it. However since my cactus is alive and well after 4 months I have hope.
My calathea started to die so I decided to leave it outside all summer to finish it off and while the original leaves have all dried up and died some fabulous new growth is beginning. So even when I try to kill plants they don't die. Only thing is now I need to figure out where I'm going to put the thing when I bring it back inside this fall. Bob is a rather large plant and I'm not moving my pachira tree, which has grown fabulously the last few months. I now need to decide if I want to re-plant it in a pot the next size up from its current one or leave it the size it is now. It's such a pretty tree I'm really tempted to re-pot it so it can grow a little larger. I feel oddly adult rambling on about houseplants. I must admit I enjoy doing the domestic thing more than I ever thought I would. Something for the future husband to look forward to. ;-)
